Hi! I’m Dan, a Zimbabwean-born, South African-educated ex-news journalist, turned full-time photographer. My partner and I spent the last 7 years living in Brooklyn, New York, where our two young children were born, and have now moved our family to Copenhagen, Denmark. And, wow, what a utopia for raising a small family!

I’ve spent the last two decades in documentary filmmaking, multimedia news journalism and street photography, which influences the natural, and real-life cinematic photography style I bring to family shoots. It brings me great joy and satisfaction to capture the raw and beautiful “in-between” moments of your family life, hoping to gift you with an honest and artistic story of your everyday. My experience also shows that the most authentic and precious images are those captured when everyone is relaxed and comfortable. You’ll be surprised by how sometimes the mundane can really reveal something entirely magical.
